Troubleshoot: Common issues or errors on accessing "SOLMAN_WORKCENTER" in SAP Solution Manager

Some of the common issues that might appear after the newly installation of SAP Solution Manager while executing TCODE: "SOLMAN_WORKCENTER" and how to troubleshoot: 



A) Unable to display the page

1) Execute TCODE: SOLMAN_WORKCENTER

2) Error displaying the page

3) Ensure the host file been updated correctly. ex: <IP> <Computer Name.Domain> <Computer Name>

4) Add the "icm/host_name_full" = FQDN into the profile file (/usr/sap/<SID>/sys/profile/default.pfl) or with     TCODE: RZ10 and restart the server and SAP services since the "host" file been modified

5) Once SAP system is up and running, execute TCODE: SMICM -> Goto -> Parameters -> display to verify the FQDN configure correctly

6) Ensure the icm/host_name_full is correct

7) The page should be able to display by now


B) How to activate HTTP services for SOLMAN_WORKCENTER

In cases where after executing the TCODE: solman_workcenter nothing been shown, verify whether the services been activated / started.

1) Execute TCODE: SICF and click the "Execute" button

2) Select the relevant services and activate it by clicking "Select/Host" -> "Activate"

3) The services required to be activate to execute SOLMAN_WORKCENTER

4) The SOLMAN_WORKCENTER should be able to access by now


C)  SOLMAN_WORKCENTER showing "You are not assigned to a Work Center"

1) After the TCODE executed, error that cause by authorization issue.

2) Ensure the correct roles been assigned:
    - SAP_SMWORK_BASIC*
    - SAP_SMWORK_ADMINISTRATOR_COMP

3) Try login the portal again:

4) Logging in


5) The page will be shown according to the authorization assigned


6) Some others options depend on roles assigned that can be mix-and -match

    I also encountered this problem. everything was ok on my solman according to this article. then i realized the pc i was using to login to solman was not on the same domain! hope this helps someone out there
